A new 3 year project  - EMphasis3 CO2 Reductions project - led by the University of Portsmouth in partnership with the University of Winchester got underway last autumn. It is delivered by the greentech cluster, Greentech South.

The project aims to secure a 2,000 tonne reduction in CO2 emissions.

SMEs can access:

  • Free energy efficiency audits
  • Energy efficiency grants, up to £25,000 - to enable SMEs to reduce energy or create and utilise more sustainable energy.
  • Research and innovation grants, up to £25,000 - to enable SMEs to develop low carbon innovations and take them closer to market.

The project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is the first low carbon CO2 reduction project as part of the EM3 ESIF programme to be launched in our area.
