Surrey and Hampshire businesses in the hospitality and leisure sectors affected by the Omicron variant of coronavirus are now able to access grants of up to £6,000 as a one-off support payment from their local authority.

The Government is encouraging to apply to their council for grant funding now, with more than £100 million made available to the Additional Restrictions Grant fund, which councils can give out at their discretion to businesses in need.

Other businesses impacted by Omicron, such as those supplying the hospitality and leisure sectors and personal care services, can also apply for grants.

Grants will be awarded over the coming weeks, with the amount given per premises depending on rateable value.

You can find your local authority by visiting www.gov.uk
